Industry Loses Randy Haviland
February 21, 2012 — Haviland Corp. CEO Charles Randolph “Randy” Haviland passed away February 15, 2012, at the age of 62.

Haviland was born September 25, 1949, in St. Louis, MO. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Haviland married Jan Frances Myers on July 10, 1971.

Haviland served as president of the ISSA Board of Directors in 1994 and also as a director in 1987 and treasurer in 1991. He also served on ISSA’s Exhibitors’ Committee in 1987 and on the ISSA Foundation Board from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, ISSA presented Haviland with the Jack D. Ramaley Industry Distinguished Service Award, which honors a person who has demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and exceptional service through his or her innovation, elevation of industry standards, and promotion of the association’s growth and development.

Haviland is survived by his mother, Van; his wife of 40 years, Jan; daughter Alice (Marcus) Andrews of Jefferson City, MO; two grandchildren; and two brothers. Those wishing to e-mail tributes or condolences to the family may do so at www.dulletrimble.com.
